2017 Scholarship Recipients
Evan Cobb
Evan will be attending Butler University to pursue a major in accounting. During the 2016-17 school year, Evan was the president of Avon DECA and a class representative for the Avon High School Student Government, all while finishing in the top 25 of his graduating class. Evan is also a leader in his community and at Saint Susanna Church, where he led two Confirmation retreats. Next year, He intends to use his previous experiences to aid in his journey at Butler as he plans on attending for 5 years to pass the CPA Exam and begin his pursuit for a career as a public accountant.

Colette Jackson
Colette will be attending Purdue University in the fall to study Early Childhood Education with Exceptional Needs and Pre- Occupational Therapy. She is very involved in her school DECA chapter, competing at the district, state, and international level as well as traveling the country attending leadership conferences. Colette played volleyball for six years at Circle City and was on the Varsity team at Avon for two years. She is also an ambassador for Avon High School. She participated in the peer tutoring classes and the work study program. She currently works at Emmy’s Pancake House and Park Square Manor. Colette is also a leader at St. Susanna church where she has helped plan and participate in confirmation retreats.
