2021 Scholarship Recipients
Emma Clark
Emma will be attending the University of Indianapolis in the fall, and will be majoring in Marketing as well as working toward a 5 year MBA program with a concentration in Finance or Data Analytics. In her time at Avon High School, Emma was a Varsity member of the Avon Gold Dance Team and also an active member of DECA, a club focusing on skills in the business field. In addition to school activities, Emma has competed with a local dance studio for 15 years. Her freshman year of high school, Emma created a non-profit organization, "Moving For Miracles" which has raised over $10,000 to date for the kids at Riley Children's Hospital. Emma is extremely excited to get started at UIndy and further her knowledge in the business field.

Thomas Hancock
Thomas will be attending Ball State University to study Biology on his way to becoming a Pathology Assistant in Forensic Science. During his time in high school Thomas was participated in Cross Country, Track & Field and Unified Track & Field. He also was in various clubs including Student Government , Ultimate Challenge Club, Young Republicans, InterAct, and National Honor Society. He worked on mission trips through Next Step Ministries every summer in Alaska, Houston, New York City, and Knoxville. He was a middle school camp counselor for 2 summers at Camp Adventure and was a student leader at multiple middle school retreats through Plainfield United Methodist Church. He earned his Eagle Scout award through his years in Troop 307.

Braeden Record
Braeden will be attending Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to major in Computer Science. During his time at Avon High School, Braeden has been a member of the boys tennis team as well as the robotics teams. He has been involved with both Avon Student Community Ambassadors Program and the National Honor Society over the past two years while also serving as an officer of AHS’s gaming club. Braeden is a member of the National Computer Science Honor Society and was chosen for the Japanese-1 Student of the Year Award. Braeden has been a Boy Scout for 12 years and recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout where he developed and built 15 sensory boards that are currently used by special needs students throughout the school district.
